In 2018, Washington County natives Chris and Lindsay Reese dreamed of bringing a specialty coffeeshop to their hometown of Hagerstown, Maryland. After falling in love with boutique coffee shops during their time living in Savannah, Georgia, and Baltimore, they returned home with a vision to create a beautiful, welcoming space for connection and community—something they felt was missing.

Guided by prayer, they felt called to open a specialty coffee shop that would foster relationships, support local revitalization, and share "Good Fruit". The name "Cannon" honors personal roots—Lindsay's upbringing in historic Sharpsburg and Chris's childhood on Hagerstown's Cannon Avenue.

What started as one downtown location on Potomac Street has grown into two locations, including a roastery and cafe near Hagerstown Community College, where coffee is roasted daily.

Years later, they've seen the profound impact of growing something with intention, nurturing it with love, and sharing it generously. At Cannon, we strive to offer every guest a small glimpse of God's love through outstanding specialty coffee and genuine hospitality.
